Colourblind

There are always scenes that linger. From a movie, from a book. Those timeless, charming images that you smile and make you wish you grew up in a similar place. The quaint little houses, the friends who live round the corner. It seems idyllic. Falling in love with your kindergarten schoolmate, playing basketball in the dusty court outside your high school.

But honestly. Would you really want to grow up surrounded by the same 1,000 people the rest of your life? Of having a job that really, just didn’t go anywhere. Of seeing tourists with more money than you could imagine oggle at your house.

But then a happy family, a happy relationship, friends who you loved and saw everyday. What’s better?

The grass is blue. Everywhere. Because actually, we’re all just colourblind.

Waiting

Do you wait, too often, for the things that never come along? When the expectations of life seem so promising, and yet what it dishes out ultimately just don’t meet the mark.

Good thing there’s a time schedule at weddings then.

Personal Plug

Some of you may know that I am engaged in some extra-curricular activities. I’ve been playing around with the online aspect for some while now but at least now I think I have found something slightly more appealing than previously. Anyway, do have a look, and of course, show any newly engaged happy bunnies. I’m still working on a better portfolio part, so watch this space. Feedback on the site most welcome!
